Using My Time

It's true what they say

you can't go home again. I went home this past weekend. I went upstairs to put some stuff in my room, only it wasn't my room anymore. The room itself was still there, but it wasn't mine. My bed was gone, a lot of my stuff was thrown in the closet...it was now the guest room. I knew this change had occured before I got there, but actually seeing it was surreal. This room had been "my room" for over 10 years. But now it isn't. But I suppose it doesn't really matter, since my parents are putting the house up for sale. Now for most people, I'm sure this wouldn't seem like that big of a deal, but I was born in and raised in this house....okay, I wasn't actually born in the house, I was born in a hospital, but this house has been my home ever since. But now my home won't be there anymore. There will be other people living where I've always lived, other cars in the drive way. I won't be able to just pull up and walk in anymore. I understand why my parents are putting it up for sale, but that doesn't mean it will be easy to see other people living in my home.

Oh well, as they say, "Que sera, sera"
